About the author:
The author, Mirja (Miri) Camphausen, was born in Germany and moved to Australia in 2012 after having lived in the US, Chile, and Poland. She writes in her second language, English, bringing a unique turn of phrase and fresh voice to children’s writing. A prolific blogger on family, parenting, health and mental wellness, this is her first children’s book.
Mirja lives in Greater Sydney with her husband, three children, and Charlie, their cheeky cat. She loves getting to know different cultures and has always been fascinated by the magic of language.
